ASEAN restaurant associations to exchange ideas and knowledge, helping the members to enter the regional markets

A memorandum of understanding was signed on Thursday (March 21st, 2019) by the restaurant associations from Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam to form an ASEAN Restaurant Associations Alliance.

The MOU was signed at the inaugural Restaurant Asia 2019 expo held at the Marina Bay Sands Singapore Expo and Convention Centre, marking the cooperation between all 6 restaurant associations for a series of upcoming collaboration, by sharing common missions:

  • Commitment to Quality
  • Dedication to Education
  • Sensitivity to Environment
  • Encouragement of Culture and Economic Exchange

Under the agreement, the food and beverage sectors in Vietnam and other countries will be able to expand their businesses to the ASEAN markets much easier as they will receive support from hundreds of members in the region. Moreover, several joint activities and events will be organised for the members to connect, exchange and establish business relationships as well as to share new trends of products and services.

Mr. Minh Chu also added that ‘A promising future is waiting for all the F&B enterprises, therefore they should make full use of this opportunity to help bringing Vietnam foodservice industry toward its blooming era – delivering Vietnam the name ‘Kitchen of the world’’.
